Who would have known?
Hidden in a timeshare property is a well known ( by locals) restaurant . If someone wouldn't have told me about this place on Convention Center Drive I would have never found it. Like so many other reviews comment here " don't judge a book by it's cover" . The atmosphere was small and intimate. They had a picture frame that played old movies on it, what a cute idea!!
I went here on Valentine's Day, it was busy for them I guess. It took a while to get my food but, when I got it it was totally worth it! I ordered the the Moroccan shank lamb ( lots of meat here) corn lobster ( this was to die for ) & mushrooms. We had the lobster mac & cheese appetizer to share. This is a very popular item at the Barrymore so I had to try it. Totally worth it! The sides are large enough for two people to share by the way. If you check-in at the Barrymore on Yelp and show your waiter/waitress that you checked in you can get a free glass of wine. We took advantage of this offer. Now my boyfriends meal unfortunately was a whole different story. He ordered some type of steak. I am not a steak person so don't recall the type. It had to be sent back twice because it was not cooked enough :( . The poor waitress felt so bad, & my meal was perfect what do you do? Well, they did give us a $20 discount on the meal for the trouble . I personally think giving him his meal free would have been one step better since I was completely done with my meal by the time I he got his complete dinner. I would still go back because I enjoyed myself and my meal was great.
