| - The theatre itself is esthetically beautiful. They obvious take care of this place, as it's a glorious landmark. You're taken back to when going to the theatre was an event, and not just a place to sit down for a couple hours.
My qualm? The seating on the mezzanine! I've been to many shows at this theatre, and have always sat in the orchestra or boxes, without issue.
Mezzanine: The seats are one directly in front of the other. One would believe that the incline on every row is such to eliminate any obstructed view, but you would be so very wrong!! Wrong, I say - wrong! The head belonging to the person in front of you, albeit large or disproportionately small, will completely block your view of the stage!
I was with a group of 80, and all of us, both tall and small, had our views blocked! What a shame!
Unfortunately, our budget didn't factor in $300/ticket for a couple of witches screaming at each other (read: Wicked. I tease, it was good).
Trust me, spring for seats in the orchestra. Or save yourself a few hundred bucks and play the soundtrack while watching the back of someone's head.
