  • Since JCP has done the whole remodel and image upgrade, I am starting to really enjoy their products, including their salon. I have visited once and will probably go back again to this salon. I went here because I was emailed a salon special for a cut and color for $50. I usually do Groupon deals for hair services because I haven't found a great stylist yet, since my last one moved away. With the JCP coupon, it was in the range I usually spend, so I went for it! The salon itself is within the JCP store, which is nice because I was able to get some things I needed after my hair cut, so it saved a trip to a different location. With gas prices these days, I am all about one stop shopping! The salon is sparsely decorated in a modern theme. Not too cluttered, but with some fun colored accent walls to brighten it up. It isn't a boutique salon by any means, but it is nice and clean, which never hurts! The salon is laid out with a lot of room between the stylist cubicles. I really liked this because when all of the hair dye fumes are swirling around, it makes me a little lightheaded normally. With the added space between the stalls, I really didn't smell the fumes except for my crazy hair color I was doing on this particular occasion. It is also nice not to be sitting on top of your neighbor. I am friendly and all, but I don't want to sit on my neighbors lap either (unless my neighbor is Ewan McGregor!). The stylists here are all pretty friendly as well. I was given Kim for my appointment and she was fun and spunky. I wanted a change so I told her to do whatever she wanted to do. I now have a crazy, cool, funky haircut that I probably won't have picked on my own, but I am rocking it anyway. I love getting a crazy new do for summer. The other stylists in the area were all friendly with their clients and even to me. When someone wasn't busy, they would talk to the other guests and ask about their hair and what they were doing. These stylists actually seemed to be interested. They made you feel welcome. It is a nice change a pace. The prices are all very reasonable as well. A regular cut & color is $80. I asked about the coupon they had out and I guess they do it periodically, which is nice so your wallet doesn't get hit too hard. Overall it is a nice salon. Nothing extra funky, but good service from nice people.
