| - Disclaimer: I didn't end up buying a car.
So yea, for what it is, I suppose it is okay. I talked to Jerry on the phone, he seemed way cool and was automatically engaged. Too bad when I got onsite, he was busy with another customer. Thus I got a robot, a dude who really should think of a different line of work. Automatically, I didn't want to do business with him, so I didn't. I think he has a really bad attitude and hates his job. The silly thing is this, I was a total easy sale, cash buyer, but didn't like his attitude. Guess what? There are thousands of cars for sale in the Valley, people like me want to deal with humans not robots. Would have been nice if Jerry stepped up and took over but he didn't, so instead I went to "I-10 Premier Auto Sales" and was able to get a reasonably priced used car (funny fact, the salesman's name at I10 Premier was Jerry... haha so in a round about way, I bought from Jerry, just not the Jerry I originally intended). Robot Salesman, if you read this, don't be such a robot, build a relationship with the potential customer, don't make it obvious that you hate your job, be chill, smile, shake the hand, take queues from the potential customer... example, if a customer asks, "where are you from," say, "Phoenix, what about you?" Strike up a conversation, build trust, walk them to the car, ask them how their kids are doing, be a human. You are the only reason I did not buy from New Deal, because your ability to scare customers away is second to none.
