| - The Linq isn't among the ritziest of Las Vegas resorts, but it's a good value in a decent location on the strip, within a short walk to The Venetian, Mirage, Caesar's Palace, etc. The rooms are on the smaller side (unless you upgrade), but the service is far better than the comparably priced Harrah's next door. Plus, the rooms seem far cleaner, the property has a nice spa, and the self check-in process is super simple (and quick). The only down sides: 1. The restaurants on site are not well staffed. I literally went to three different places trying to eat lunch one day and there were no hosts/hostesses at any of them to seat me. I literally had to just walk right into a restaurant and tackle a server to get a table (and this was during a non-busy weekday). 2. The elevator situation is problematic, especially during peak times. Elevator banks 2/3 were almost always busy while I was there, and it was sheer chaos one day when an event being hosted on site let out. 3. I love that there are mini fridges in the room to store beverages and leftovers, but there are no microwaves so unless it's something you can eat cold, the whole leftovers idea is off the table. 4. The property is deceptively large, and depending on where your room is at, it can take a considerable amount of time to get from your room to the strip. I was in room 30854, and it was quite a jaunt. There is a bank of elevators that would alleviate that, but those elevators don't go to the casino level. 5. This is super minor, but what's with the five-digit room numbers?! As someone who travels a lot for business, I'm constantly having to remember my room number, and this unnecessarily long room number just would NOT stick in my brain. Furthermore, it's confusing because room 30854 is on the eighth floor, not the third or 30th. In all, I'd say this is definitely a property to consider, especially if you're budget conscious, don't mind a smallish room, and need to be on the North end of the strip.
