| - What a phenomenal place! After living in NYC for the last 2 years (born and raised in the burbs of Toronto), I'd really been craving some good small shop eats. And WOW, this place hit it out of the park on all accounts.
2 friends and I went to this establishment on a Friday night with a reservation (a must for this small restaurant!), and were seated almost immediately on arrival.
Two of us were drinking and started off with the Travelling man and Turkey shoot.
For food, everything was shared.
Appetizers:
Dark wing duck (duck wings in hoisin sauce) - great
Steamed buns with pork sliders - great
Cauliflower poutine - absolutely amazing!
Mains:
Chicken platter for two - stellar!
Kielbasa with cabbage - acceptable
Desert:
Two more cocktails, St. Elizabeth and Leavin' Eden.
Followed with The King (banana bread, bacon, toffee, peanut butter) for desert.
Overall, the food was on point, the drinks were tasty, and our server was wonderful.
Total was $170 + tip.
TL;DR:
1) Make a reservation
2) Share the food because there's such good stuff there!
3) Grab some well thought out cocktails
4) Be weary that there's only one server for the entire establishment, so be patient.
5) Enjoy the awesome food.
