I am giving the bar itself 5 stars. Great drinks! I came in for a house margarita and a few beers. Drinks are strong and delicious. That said...the bartender (dude w currency taped to his forehead) was not one his best behavior today. I went in yesterday and tipped him quite well on 2 drinks. Today I ordered 8. He rang up my order and I handed him 21 dollars and told him to hang on for his tip. Well...I am guessing he didn't hear me or understand because the next thing I know he's harassing me for not tipping him. I had a bunch of drinks that I was passing to others behind me. I was not going to stiff this man. He decides that he's going to publicly shame me for "not tipping" and brings out his phone and shows me his dog. He says that he's not going to be able to give her any treats because I didn't tip him. Mind you, it's 5 cent beer so it's craziness. You cannot hear anything. After that I shouldn't have tipped him and just walked away. I tipped him his 8 bucks and went on my way absolutely furious. Outside of this person, the bar is great and I highly recommend. This bartender has great bar tricks as well. I think he would be better served if he stopped with this behavior and instead remembered that tips are not required, but are given to show gratitude. Public humiliation of a customer is pretty unbecoming.
