rev:text	I must have walked by this place a thousand times--I think that perhaps the name of the restaurant confused me a bit, because "Rising Sons Deli" doesn't evoke Thai and Laotian cuisine in my mind. But this last Saturday, as I was idly waiting for my sister near our usual meet-up spot, I happened to look at the menu. I was intrigued, and convinced my sister to give it a try with me. We stopped in at 11:30: the place was deserted, which always makes me a tad nervous. On the other hand, the Packer game was about to start, so...we decided to risk it. It was flippin' cold outside, so I wanted soup: pho, to be exact. I was informed by the friendly waiter that they were out of the type I wanted, so I ordered their standard pho with beef and meatballs. My sister ordered the pad Thai. I would say that both dishes were solid, but not rave-worthy. I'm accustomed to pho being served with a separate plate piled high with herbs (basil is a MUST!), sprouts, and jalapeños--but mine came out with a tiny smattering of cilantro and a few sprouts in the bowl. I had to ask for fish sauce and sriracha. That being said, the broth had a really nice flavor, and the soup was really tasty overall. From my one bite of the sis' pad Thai, it seemed very tasty. All in all, we weren't blown away, but we weren't disappointed either. And the fact that there are three Pokéstops in range of the restaurant didn't hurt. AND, I almost forgot: NO CARDS ACCEPTED. Luckily, sis had cash, but, despite the signage explaining the credit card ban, I'm sure that there have been "situations".
