I frequently have extended business travels, so I've rented apartments from property management companies all over the country and overseas for periods of 2-12 months. In 15 years, this is one of the two worst management companies I've worked with.
One example is that they have shut off the water for "scheduled maintenance" about once a month since I moved in. They do not post the required notices (AZ law requires 2 days' notice - they often don't notify at all), so we never really know when we'll suddenly have toilets, sinks and showers that don't work. This can be a challenge when getting ready for work! The manager has made it clear that she couldn't care less about the problems this creates with my job. (I've had to cancel meetings after getting home from the gym to find there's no water!)
They are not efficient in addressing issues. As mentioned above, they have someone doing small maintenance on the water system about once a month, instead of addressing system issues on an annual/semi-annual basis like most companies. Likewise, when our security gate was broken, it took a month for them to fix it; we were not provided any information/updates. Access to our parking spots/condos was an issue during this time.
They do not answer their phones or emails in a timely manner--if at all. Our manager is rude and condescending. In addition to the logistic challenges, they're unpleasant to work with.
