I had to share my positive experience last week after seeing the 1.5 stars that United has garnered. I had a great short flight to Chicago - even though the flight was fully booked, the flight attendants were positive and helpful, and everyone was seated in time for our on-time departure. The rows in front and behind me both had babies in tow, but they behaved themselves admirably (five stars to them!). Finally, the flight arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule and allowed me to make it home with some unexpected daylight to greet me.
I figured I should give the airline a bit of credit since it is a lot easier to write about a bad experience than a good one (and I am no stranger to bad airline experiences!). This time, they definitely got it right.
