| - My boyfriend and I would come here pretty frequently for breakfast, and we have always had a good experience. I'm pretty sure the owner started remembering us, as he started speaking to us as though we were friends. However, we had a very terrible experience this weekend. We ordered out usual, 2 toasted bagels with cream cheese. We waited 10-15 minutes for a pretty simple order, but we were mostly fine with that because this place can get pretty busy on weekends. However, when we got our order, neither of our bagels were toasted. My boyfriend brought them back up and explained the situation to the owner who happened to be preparing the bagels that day. He seemed to get angry when we informed him for some reason. He did end up remaking our order correctly, but he brought it over to our table and stated that he would "give us a lesson about bagels." That "lesson" turned out to be him explaining that when you put cream cheese on a warm bagel, it cools it off. Okay? That's common sense, and he really didn't need to speak to us like we've never ate/made a bagel before or as if we were in a 1st grade science class. The problem wasn't the temperature of our food anyway. Having a bagel toasted is more of texture thing. He could have easily apologized for getting our order wrong and fixed it, but instead he tried to make it seem as though we were wrong for ordering and not getting the correct thing. We honestly would have been totally fine with it regardless of the reason (simple mistake, being very busy, etc), but the level of condescending disrespect we received from the owner of all people was a huge problem. Not cool, man.
