Our first visit and we we're lucky enough to meet Nadia who was a wonderful tour guide. She was clearly perceptive that we might need a little extra assistance in making our way through the exhibits. Nadia was very patient and handled my son's multitude of questions with ease. She checked in on us throughout our stay to make sure our experience was enjoyable.
It is beyond fantastic that one can get up close and personal with the animals. Great sensory play value! We could have spent hours just petting the playful rays. We just about did.
I do wish that, like other reviewers, that the feeding cups were less costly. I also wish that there was additional signage at each station that included info on "what to expect" for kids on the spectrum who may have anxiety with new experiences and sensory challenges. IMO there should also be simple, clear visual cues, i.e. "Do Not Touch" symbol, at those few stations where one should actually not touch. What may be intuitive for some is not for others.
Overall this family loved the experience and will definitely return. Next time we will bring an extra shirt to change into since water play can be, well, a little wet ... and fishy.
Also a plus ... plenty of hand sanitizers, washing stations, and bathrooms available.
