| - For months, we searched for the ideal grooming salon to handle Yo-Yo, my mom's eight-year-old Yorkie. He's a good dog but a tad shy and skittish. He doesn't like just anyone. He prefers people who are gentle and calm--like he is.
So, imagine how relieved we were when, after a series of false starts with numerous Spring Valley and Summerlin groomers who seemed more focused on the bottom line than on their four-legged clients, we finally, thankfully found Pawfect Pet Salon, a business clearly run by dog lovers.
Hannah and Claire are two of the nicest, friendliest groomers we've met anywhere, and it's clear that they and the rest of the staff take their time with the dogs and deliver first-rate service. They don't keep your dog in a cage, the atmosphere is relaxed and soothing for the pups, and you get the distinct impression that they just might love your pet as much as you do. That's a comforting feeling.
The good people at Pawfect Pet Salon worked with Yo-Yo on his first visit, soothing him for a couple of hours until he was comfortable and relaxed enough to go under the clippers, and the little guy has been a fan ever since that first day.
We've been taking Yo-Yo to Pawfect for a few months now, and we can't say enough great things about these people or the service they provide at a completely reasonable price. If Yo-Yo could speak, he'd tell you all the same thing. (As it is, he just wags his tail and barks each time we tell him he's going to see Hannah and Claire. That's good enough for me.)
Each time we go there, the staff is playing with the dogs or soothing them while they're on the grooming tables or helping customers. These folks here love what they do; it's obvious in everything about the place, especially on the back wall festooned with scores of pictures of happy Vegas dogs they've groomed.
In a town like Vegas, there is a seemingly endless number of local businesses you can give your money to. We prefer to patronize those businesses who value their customers, who provide great service, and who don't charge a proverbial arm and a leg. These qualities describe the people at Pawfect Pet Salon to a T.
They're genuinely nice people, they're real pros, and they don't gouge you. A complete grooming (complete with their tooth-brushing service) is absolutely reasonable, costing perhaps half what you'd pay at some of those snooty groomers around town.
But there's nothing snooty about Pawfect Pet Salon. Just great people who are great at their job. Give 'em a shot, and I promise that you (or, rather, your dog) will be a return customer, too.
