Frustrating office that does not know what they are doing! I called to book an apmt as a new customer. The apmt was set for about a month out. They assured me they took my insurance. The day of my apmt as I was leaving my house, they called and cancelled to reschedule. They called me back again a few hrs later and rescheduled it for two days later. I asked, once again, if they took my insurance. My insurance carrier has been slammed with business and you cannot get through to anyone. This is why I relied on the doctor's office to actually know what they were doing. Two days later I go through hell and high water to make it to my new apmt that they rescheduled. I got a phone call on the elevator on my way up to their office on the 2nd floor. They informed me they do no take my insurance. I explained that I had verified that they did with their office several times...not to mention a month ago. They offered to take a copay and bill me for the rest when my insurance refused my claim. What good is that? It is their job to know what insurance is accepted and verify it long before a patient arrives. I needed medication for my thyroid disease which will expire in a few days. Now I cannot get into anyone else in time before my pills run out which I require every day. Thank you 21st Century Medicine for wasting a month of my time only to turn me away. I have no idea what I will do now to keep my meds. I think your front office needs some training on how to do their jobs!
