| - I came here hoping to find produce grown on the premises, as well as locally sourced eggs and honey. The Farm turned out to be too tiny to make enough money selling its own produce; they sell produce grown out of state. The fruits, vegetables and squashed all looked great.
The feel of the place was very homey and barn-like, with vintage storage furniture and stacked bales of hay. Even with all that, plus birds in cages, chickens and cats underfoot, it looked neat and clean, and didn't smell badly.
Can't say the same for the $5 petting/feeding area up the short stairwell- it smelled so strongly of animals and manure that one of the three in my party had to wait for us away from the aroma. It's a tiny space on a landing where you can feed the goats below, see a couple of turkeys, peacocks and more chickens. This was the first time I'd seen a living turkey face to face, and it was truly majestic. The animals look well loved and taken care of. Apparently there is a larger animal space with pigs, but we didn't explore further.
We'll come again!
