Utterly disgusted with the poor service at this place. I honestly would give ZERO stars, if possible. I've been patiently waiting for the opening of this spot downtown and boy was it a big let down.
The decor is amazing. It's sort of a mix of a bar and a church! Three levels of great space. The downer...you'll never get your food.
Got in after the lunch rush, so the restaurant wasn't packed. Ordered our food and was told it would take no more than 15-20 minutes.....drum roll. We waited 55 minutes and got no food! Not a joke at all...I actually would've preferred it be a joke.
I noticed a table behind us get their food and I stopped a server (not my server because he never came back) to see how that could be when they came in about 15-20 min after we did. He went to check and advised our ticket "got lost" and that our food would be out in two minutes. Fast forward 12 minutes later, still no food. My original server locked eyes with me and I believe he might've tinkled on himself because he could tell I wasn't a happy camper.
We got up and told him we're leaving. His response...an excuse. He said our order got behind a big ass table upstairs. Those were literally his words. I let him know I don't care what the excuse was, it's unacceptable. All he did was apologize, no attempts to remedy the issue.
I was seriously excited about the opening of this place, but the chances of me visiting again to give them another shot...slim to Hell No! First impressions are lasting, especially when the service is terrible. Customers don't like to hear excuses, they want solutions. Hell, they actually just want their food. That's what they come for in the first place...good eats!
You have a ton of work to do, Cornish Pasty. Good luck.
