| - Okay, it was good. Actually, it was kinda okay. Actually, for the price, I've had a lot better.
Service is a little overbearing and hard-sell on the up-sell.
Wine list is well rounded and extensive, but they are really proud of it. We have been in the area for about a month, and have been to 6-8 higher-end restaurants. Definitely the highest multiples you will see, at least on the Captain's list.
On the food -- which is why we went, of course, for the steak. I had the rib, and my wife had the filet. Neither was cooked spot on, and there was nothing exceptional about either. They upsold my wife on the foie gras glop on top, and it made it so rich it was difficult to eat. So, well . . . she didn't.
If you are trying to impress someone with how much you are willing to spend on dinner and wine, and are okay with "okay but overpriced" food, then this is your place. But for me, the value proposition just isn't there.
