  • All hail the Hungry Monk!!! Work dropped me in the area and hunger and Yelp delivered me to the Hungry Monk. Tons of beer on tap and tons of tv's to keep you engaged. After looking at the menu I came across the Hungry Monk Trippel. One of the easiest decisions I have made. The sandwich is stacked with smoked pulled pork, Applewood bacon & a thick slab of grilled ham. It is served on grilled sourdough. It also comes w/ a side of Freddie G's gourmet BBQ sauce. Apparently Freddie G is a local BBQ legend. It is tangy with a hint of sweet. The sandwich is awesome. It is pork personified and is worth whatever caloric bomb that detonates. The sauce is crucial as the pork three ways can be too salty, you need the contrast. Great beer, great ambience, and great food.
