In my adventures I've managed to hit up most of the famous bagel spots in Montreal and New York and there's a reason why Toronto is not known for their bagels. This place however manages to pull off a decent wood-fired bagel and it's the only game in the neighborhood. (I was eating Sobey's bagels before they opened up, bleh!)
My only complaints are that the bagels are on the smaller side, a bit too sweet and they don't put as much stuff on as their NYC and Montreal counter-parts.
The service and whole ambiance is pretty straight-up, no frills which is fine for me. The prices are fair but the coffee is "dish-water" status.
