HEADS UP!.. They only take cash.
They have an atm in the shop that charges you a $2 service few to withdraw cash.
They serve kawartha dairy ice cream in cones, cups, cookie sandwiches, waffle cone shaped like tacos. So I don't think it anything special that I haven't seen done before. It is an ice cream shop and i feel I can get their ice cream elsewhere too, so it's nothing unique.
I decided to have the sweet pocket since it seemed like something I won't get anywhere else.
I wanted the cinnamon sweet pocket bun with moose tracks ice cream and marshmallow fluff.
I ended up getting my sweet pocket made in the sugar bun instead but I didn't make a fuss over it. It still tasted good :)
I wish I had got more ice cream in the sweet pocket... After all I did drive 30min to Booyah for ice cream. I felt there was only a kiddy size scoop worth of ice cream inside the warm sugar bun.
All in all, I love kawartha dairy ice cream. I feel they that one of the best tasting ice creams in terms of favors and quality, but I would not go out of the way to come back to Booyah.
