  • Was looking for a quick place to eat and was recommended Holsteins. Located next to Eggslut, Holsteins is a large restaurant with tons of tables for pairs or large groups which makes for a more comfortable dining experience. We were served their House Cajun Popcorn which was savory, well spiced and totally addicting to eat. I ordered the Rising Sun, which was the most recommended item and looked to be the most appealing based on ingredients and photos to me. We weren't quite in the mood for milkshakes this time around and found the burgers themselves were filling as is. The Rising Sun burger consisted of a kobe beef patty, teriyaki glaze, nori furikake, crispy yam, spicy mayo, & tempura avocado. I ordered the burger Medium. I would have to agree with fellow Yelper, Vivian T. and say that the burger definitely sounds better than it tasted. The components of the burger were great, but I found the beef patty to be overdone, dry and came out lukewarm. I would say if the patty itself was cooked to either a Medium Rare or Medium and came out hot, it would've been a lot better. The tempura avocado and the spicy mayo gave this burger more richness and worked well with the other components of the burger. The bun itself was substantial enough to hold everything together without being soggy or breaking apart. Ordered fries to go with my burger and they were very typical. Service was attentive and reasonable for such a large restaurant. Decor had comical cow motifs and had plenty of lighting. Noise volume average. Price point reasonable as well, burger tasted good, just issues with temperature and doneness. Other than that, would visit in the future for a burger (if craving one) and to try out their adult milkshakes that looked absolutely delectable and sinfully good.
