| - So I'm here to tell you this place is great. My dad owns a coffee shop and I know good coffee, Metropolitan does it right. I'm not a fancy coffee drinker, I take it in its native state, no unnecessary junk added which means there's no way to disguise bad coffee. They don't need to, it's darn delicious. Anyhow they also have a nut free kitchen which turns out pastries and such, I haven't tried any yet, but it's pretty cool that it's safe for the nut allergy crowd.
The place is pretty cool inside, nicely decorated and has a select few items for sale including some records.
I hear they have plans for the space in the basement, and patio seating soon. I'm looking forward to seeing what they end up doing.
I've been here twice since their soft opening, and understand they have plans for expanded hours, which judging by the good crowd today, will be great.
