  • Akahana is a reliable option for sushi and takeout in Plaza Midwood. The BOGO sushi rolls everyday include an extensive list of options so you don't have to get the same ones each time. The BOGO is also offered for takeout. The Vietnamese bun is also pretty good and is of good size. The spicy edamame are excellent. The service has historically been hit or miss but has been more reliable of late. There are drink specials most days, but they aren't always that enticing (like 15% off sake and $1 off beer). The atmosphere is ok but occasionally it may smell like cleaner (really the only reason for not getting 5 stars). Will continue to eat here for (generally) good value sushi and Asian fare.
