| - An update to my previous post: I had forwarded this same information to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). This was the only way for corporate of The Home Depot to be informed of the issue we had. Because I forwarded this information, Johnathan was forced to reach out to me. (For this, I increased the rating to 2 stars. He still needs some serious help in the customer service department and obviously only contacted me out of necessity. Not because he is a good person/manager) Which, to be honest, is very annoying. My experience with this guy was horrible. What about the information I provided makes you think I want to deal with him any more? I DO NOT want to have any dealings with someone who's goal was to publicly humiliate me!
I sent an email to corporate of The Home Depot explaining this. Afterwards, they gave me the option to deal with someone else. FINALLY! They offered me a store credit for the difference in what we would have saved. However, I believe this was only because of the report to the BBB. Especially since once my case was dealt with, the BBB would have a positive outcome to report to the public. IE: The Home Depot offered me this as compensation so that there would not be a negative comment about their store.
Obviously, I appreciated their efforts. However, it does not change the fact that the employees and manager at this location need some serious assistance. If you decide to visit this location, we wary of the employees. Here is what I have found exists at this location: 1) Employees are not well trained on customer service, 2) Most (if not all) employees are not knowledgeable enough about their respective departments as we have had numerous situations in which we, the customers, knew more about either codes or the products and how to complete a project, and 3) the store manager will not help you either. Normally, when employees are attempting to handle a situation that they discover they can't, the store manager can/will come to assist the customer(s). This is NOT the case at this particular location.
I hope that there will be a change in management which will allow for a major turn around at this location.
