  • No wait on a holiday weekend for brunch? Is that a bad sign. The Wynn, Bacchanal, and Wicked spoon all had lines on normal weekends. Maybe just the timing, right? Maybe not. While the food wasn't horrible, it was Station Casino standard. For a nice, upscale hotel like this, the food quality was inexcusable. What made matters worse is that the organization of the food was incomprehensible. I got my waterlogged snow crab and went in search of cocktail sauce, lemon and melted butter. The butter was by the cereal and the lemon and cocktail sauce was over by the sushi along with the waterlogged shrimp. I got a slice of prime rib that turned out to be stringy and tough. Where was the au jus and mashed potatoes and creamed spinach? The au jus was across the room on the same table as the maple syrup. I kid you not, a lady almost accidentally put au jus on her pancakes that were by the mashed potatoes I had been searching for. I later found cheese blintzes and strawberry sauce over by the baked fish and the fruit over by the sushi and cheese and Caesar salad. The green salad was by the carving station and the mixed salads were on the opposite side of the buffet. The last search was for whipped cream for my cobbler. I looked everywhere before finally asking a lady who waved vaguely at the desserts. I walked around and saw none. I asked the one lady behind the desserts and she brought a tray out from the refrigerator and scooped me up a serving. I got back to the table and found that it was unsweetened. It's sad that the best thing I had to eat was the mixed green salad I made with crumbled blue cheese, balsamic dressing and sunflower seeds. The parmesan crisps were good too. I'm not a picky eater either. It was a humorously frustrating experience. It became a scavenger hunt to find anything. Really Bellagio? The response by Jamil is bogus UNLESS they switch from brunch to dinner at 9:30-10:30 am. Nice try.
