| - The rule of thumb before selecting any services is to trust the reviews other people have posted. No one takes time out to put something bad about someone else's business unless they have had a genuinely horrible experience. Too bad I didn't take previous reviews seriously!
I was skeptical to hire these guys to begin with but I just had to move my living room stuff that too locally (and these guys gave a quote which was around $200 less than the competitor) so I thought it might be over in a few hrs and worth a try as I had pretty much clarified the issues what other people posted on Yelp.
So, the booking process is simple and smooth and rest assured, you can sit back and relax, until, you realize its too late and they haven't yet showed up! I had given them a one hr window and was still expecting a further 20-30 min delay but they were way off schedule(4-5 hrs delay). Worst of all, every time you call, they say "we are on our way but are delayed because of traffic! (It took them 5+ hrs to drive from Mesa to Payson)
Huge waste of my time and extremely poor communication from their side just made me frustrated over all.
When I called to cancel because the delay was beyond what would fit in my schedule, I was asked to pay a trip charge / cancellation fees and when I said it was their fault that they were so late, I was threatened that the bill would be sent to collections!! I actually went ahead and cancelled it, but eventually I let them come in after the driver again called me and requested to keep the appointment and promised me he would be there in 30 min.
Eventually, when the crew came, the guys were quick and efficient so I can tell you with my experience that the quality of the job is not the problem, but the way things are coordinated/communicated is the main issue.
The lady who answers your phone calls, she did not behave rudely with me unlike pointed out by some others, but unfortunately she just does not know how to do her job. I would have been greatly appreciative had I been kept in the loop and been honestly notified that there was going to be a 4-5hr delay rather than postponing the arrival of the crew by 20-30 minutes each time I call. Made me look like an obsessive compulsive person trying to give someone a hard time for no reason. I had to called almost every 30 min because every time I call "they are on their way" and "almost there"!!
I was clear about the so called ~hidden charges~ already pointed out by some and had them clarified by the lady in charge but was still surprised to see about $100 for various things like, $40 for climbing stairs and and another $30 for shrink wrap. I was already too frustrated with the delay so just gave in and did not argue about that.
You finally end up paying the same amount you might pay to a premium moving company with highly professional service. Its just the initial quote thats illusional.
The bottom line is, just stay away from these people. You can hire random people from Craiglist and expect them to do a much better job (and on-time).
These people don't seem like they are trying to cheat you intentionally, they probably just don't know the basics of doing business and end up spoiling their own reputation.
Whatever money you may or may not save by opting for their services over others, the frustration you get in return makes up for every single penny. You get what you pay for also does not apply here. In fact you get much more than what you pay for......Frustration worth hundreds of dollars!!!!
I do not recommend their services to anyone.
