  • My wife and I bought a new house, with a pool. We found Dale's number on Angie's List, and called him. He was very nice at the beginning and gave us a good price quote for fixing our pool (drain the water, seal couple or cracks, replace the light bulb inside the pool and fix the waterfall pump). Dale kept asking me for the key to my back yard so they "could come freely during the day". I didn't like this at all. The first step was to drain the pool. He didn't arrive on time at first and I had to call him twice to remind him our schedule. The guy who came on his behalf (have no idea what was his name) jumped over our gate and put a water pump in order to drain the pool. I asked him specifically to let me know half an hour before they arrive because I wanted to be home when he come. When I got home I saw that his worker built a small ladder next to our gate and just left it there. The hose between the pool and the drain hole outside the house was FULL with holes, and the water started to follow all over our back yard. I called Dale, and he said that it's "100% normal and he's working with this hose all the time". I told him that it's unacceptable and demanded he will come again and fix the hose, and again, let me know half an hour before they arrive. When I got home I saw this "ladder" again, meaning that he (or his employee) jumped over our gate again and "patched up" the house. The hose was still full with holes, just on other places. I called Dale again (it was Friday) and told him that I want them to use a different hose without any holes. He told me to turn-off the the pump and we scheduled for Saturday morning (the next day). On Friday evening my wife and I had to be somewhere out of town for business, so I texted Dale that evening asking him NOT TO COME while we're not home and asked him what's his availability for Monday/Tuesday. To be on the safe side, I called him the next morning and left him a voice mail repeating my text. He never got back to me. When we arrived back home on Sunday, the "ladder" was there again, the water pump was gone and we never heard back from him. Attached are three photos of our backyard and how it looked like when Dale started to drain our pool. This is "normal" he said. Beware of doing a business with this company.
