  • I have lived at this apartment complex for three years and will say it has gone wayyy downhill since I I first moved. I originally started in a one bedroom, one bath. Neighbors were quiet, staff were friendly, maintenance requests were completed in a timely manner.... then a year later, staff at the leasing office kept changing and turnover was high and employees kept changing ever since. Every time I come to the leasing office, it was a new person who doesn't know anything and can't answer any questions. The only person that has always been there is the manager, Loren and sometimes he's not there. All his employees seem like they are all temporary. That obviously is a problem when as a tenant, you want a staff that remembers you and can resolve your issues in a timely manner. Maintenance requests started taking forever to complete. One time, my garbage disposal was clogged and they didn't come for days and the only reason why they came after a week of sending my request is because I complained to the leasing office. I also had an ant problem and they supposedly contacted pest control but nothing happened. We had to buy stuff and take care of the problem on our own. The ground maintenance also is being ignored. There would be trash and dog feces everywhere for days, if not weeks. The areas where there should be doggie bags for you to pick up after your dog would not be refilled with doggie bags. The second swimming pool and jacuzzi in the back is forgotten and it would look awful and dirty, and sometimes broken. The fitness center is small and during peak times, it is always packed. You don't want to go in if there is more than four people because it is just too cramped and it always seems that one exercise equipment is broken or out of order. If you use their internet, it is slow as hell. Parking is extremely limited. If you go there after dark, there is no parking for guests. You are assigned one parking space (covered or garage) and the parking spaces are tight and people don't seem to know how to park correctly. After two years, I decided to transfer to a bigger apartment since at the time, I really enjoyed being in the Central Phoenix area. That was probably the biggest mistake I've ever done because it led to me loathing this place. The transfer didn't go well and it resulted in late fees being charged to me, my original apartment being rented out and my new apartment not being ready for me to move in on my move in date! It was so stressful and luckily, Lynn (she no longer works there) helped me get my keys to the new apartment even though it wasn't "ready". I ended up having so many maintenance requests in the next 1-2 months that took forever to complete. It was awful!! Not only that, I moved in to an apartment where my upstairs neighbors had a 2 story vaulted ceiling apartment on the 3rd floor. Word of advice: DO NOT move in the apartment below an apartment with 2 stories on the 3rd floor!! You will hear everything!!!!!!! The worse part is....the people above us had parties all the time and at 2 in the morning on a weeknight!! I've complained to the leasing office as well as their security that they hired/contacted and nothing happened - the noise never stopped. We got to the point where we hated coming home. We hated it so much to the point where we decided to go house hunting because we never want to live in an apartment again. If you decide to live here, check where your parking space and check out the apartment you will be assigned to. I will say that the best part of living at Citi on Camelback is that you are close to lots of great restaurants and downtown. However, during rush hour, it is a nightmare to get in and out on Camelback.
