  • I'm afraid this review will not be like the others. I was very disappointed in the professionalism and reliability at this shop. My best friend ordered bridesmaid dresses from Laura and was under the impression that she was going to make them since she makes bridal gowns. Once the dresses finally came in (just 2 and a half weeks before the wedding date) my friend found out that they were sent away to be made and the custom dresses we ordered didn't fit 1 out of the 8 bridesmaids correctly. On top of that when I called months in advance to give my measurements I was told I would be charged for half of the dress, then the rest when I picked it up. I was charged the full $200 the day I called to give my measurements. Clearly the dresses were made incorrectly since they did not fit around the arms or shoulders for anyone. I had mine corrected at the shop and thought that since I had already paid $200 for a custom dress I wouldn't be charged to have it fixed. However, I was wrong. I was charged $32 for a mistake that shouldn't have been made. A couple of the girls lived in other cities and were scrambling days before the wedding to find someone to fix the fitting error. One bridesmaid had to pay an extra $100 on top of the original $200 to have it fixed. Everything came down to the last minute which was such a headache for everyone. It was absolutely ridiculous that some of us didn't get our dresses until a few days before the wedding! I still needed to get my dress hemmed and she wanted to charge me $35. I found someone else to do it much cheaper. The wedding was this past Saturday and the dress was so tight on the arms I have scratches and bruises lining the tops of my shoulders. Absolutely unacceptable.
