I feel like this place requires a pros and cons list, so here goes:
Pros: the vibe is great. It morphs from restaurant to club at about 8, and it would be a fun place to get a drink. The sweet potato fries are the bomb, and the margarita I had was pretty good. Location is great too. Prices are also pretty good.
Cons: it's one of those places that makes you think the art of customer service is officially dead. When my friend and I arrived, there were several open tables. The host acted like it was a HUGE burden to seat us (despite it being, ya know, his job). He wanted to seat us at a bar table even though several booths were open. He said no outside seating was available when there was definitely an open table that we walked past on our way in. We asked for a booth because the bar tables were too tall for me to sit comfortably in the dress I was wearing. This whole interaction put a sour taste in my mouth from the get go. Not a good first impression. My main dish, the Go Green Pasta, was mediocre. Too much sauce and made me feel a little sick later.
I probably won't go back.
