This is going to be long, so I apologize beforehand.
TL;DR Don't go to Chris if you're getting hair dyed (I cannot speak for his cutting abilities).. Also if you're getting your hair bleached at all, don't let an inexperienced stylist bunch it up or else your hair/adjacent skin will burn and fry.
The only thing that kept me from giving this place a 1 star was the lovely Japanese assistant that helped me when my hair was fucking burning. She was so nice and kind and understanding.
I came here to get my hair bleached and toned to an ash blonde colour. I got some dude named Chris who was nice about the entire procedure. Made sure I knew what I was getting myself into. He sounded like he knew what he was doing, except he actually didn`t when the time came.
As they were applying the bleach, everything seemed fine and dandy, but then he bunched my hair all together and put plastic cling wrap over it and left to cut somebody else`s hair. My hair started to heat up. He warned me that bleach on the scalp could be kind of painful sometimes, so when it first started to hurt from the heat I didn't think too much about it. Then it started to burn my skin. I could see smoke coming from my hair as it got way too painful to bear and I realized then that there`s no way this should be happening even if bleach was supposed to hurt. I called him over but no response. He was talking to someone else about who knows what. I was desperate for someone to come help me so I had to flag down the nearest person who happened to be the sweetest and nicest girl ever. She helped me remove the cling wrap and separate the hell out of my hair and fanned it to cool it down. She even went and fetched me more tea without me asking. The guy only came back after she got my hair all cooled down.
I had a ton of breakage in my hair after that as well as a 1st degree burn on my ear, the guy gave me a 30 dollar discount (off of like 330? =_=) to I guess make up for it all? In the end still blamed my hair for not being the type to handle bleach well when he was the one who clearly made the mistake of bunching my hair up while using bleach.
I learned afterwards (off Google for god's sake) that bleach and dye produced an exothermic reaction(ie. dye + bleach releases heat) and the hair should ABSOLUTELY NOT be bunched together to allow the heat to escape properly and not fucking burn hair/skin.
