| - My preteen daughter has a record player (the new style with iPod capabilities) and has been on the hunt for vinyl to play on it. As I'm parking, she's looking at the front of the store and asks if it's a pawn shop, with a hint of disdain in her voice. I tell her lets just see what's inside. Within the first 2 minutes she's all over the place, pointing out things she wants. She completely forgets about records after seeing the Funko Pop figurines for sale. Usually we buy these at the comic book stores or Hot Topic around town. Manifest has a collection that may outnumber the comic book stores. They definitely have more than Hot Topic.
Lots of movie collectibles, the usual superhero items, Star Wars, oldies like Gremlins, Predator, Godzilla movie tie-ins and action figures. Tshirts, fleece blankets on one side, and used movies on the other. I was impressed with the movie selection. Many TV series DVD sets- oldies like Married With Children, Dallas, Seinfeld to newer series like Dexter or American Horror Story.
When we finally get to the record section, almost everything she wanted was $25 and up. Prior to this I bought her vinyl records at the overpriced Urban Outfitters. I had assumed they would be cheaper here, but not by much. Maybe that's the price of records almost everywhere? I thought they would've been half that price, but now I know better.
Upon leaving the store she was hesitant to enter, she proclaimed it was officially her favorite in the city.
