  • I scored last minute comp tix from another yelper, so I walked in with little to no expectations. Not at all a country fan, but I have to admit that Shania puts on a great show. If you're a fan, you HAVE to see this show, and it's definitely worth paying a little extra for orchestra seats along the aisle. She wanders around the orchestra section during a couple songs hugging fans, and even posing for selfies with them - it's an awesome opportunity to meet her for a sec and you can tell that she truly loves her fans. The first hour or so was pretty country - I'd never heard of any of the songs, and the backgrounds were extremely lame and looked cheap for a production in a huge venue like the colosseum. I couldn't help but be reminded of cheesy 80's videos like the Cars You Might Think for some reason. And I swear I had nightmares about the scary nodding leopards during (I think) That Don't Impress Me. But I really loved the show from the campfire scene till the end. From that point, it was less country and more her mainstream hits. Amazing lighting, beautiful and classy - it was more of what I expected for a show at the Colosseum. I'm glad it ended on a great note. We were in the front of the top mezz, and the view was ok although she was pretty tiny from way up there. I'd suggest at least getting seats from the first mezz so it's more of a straight view vs looking down. But like I said, the orchestra seats are worth it if you're a true fan, and I think they're only $150 vs $100 for mezz.
