I came here last weekend with a friend and we had a nice time. The trail was much smaller than we imagined (we thought it would go through the forest) but it was nice to skate around and chat while watching the sunset. There is a small area where you can change into your skates and leave your personal belongings. The area isn't heated but you won't be there too long!
The rink is also pretty well maintained. During our two hour skate a zamboni smoothed out the ice one time. I'm not sure how often it smoothes the ice but this is definitely a nice outdoor rink in the northern part of the city. I wouldn't recommend trekking here if you live in the Toronto core but it's nice for people who live up north.
This rink also plays music for skaters and the playlist was pretty good. They played oldies and easy rock. I would potentially go back but it wouldn't be my first pick for an ice-skating rink.
