  • Excited to announce that the instructor, Ms. Barbara, does a phenomenal job in keeping the students on their A game while balancing the client needs. How so? 1) She ensures that each student over-stand the importance of cleanliness and clean while you go; 2) she checks in often to ensure the work is at the professional level although these are students. She's not micromanaging and over bearing. She strikes a balance that affords the student confidence yet makes sure the client being serviced feels comfortable then excited about the finished work. 3) From booking to shampooing and in the chair service.... The instructor is everywhere helping each person stay as efficient as possible. You're not going to wait without being addressed; you won't have to sit and feel as if you're being forgotten; you will get what you're after and you'll still get an honest consult. 4) They have the DESIGN essential honey nectar relaxer system here. This is soooo essential because a lot of folks around here may have Design Essential but not the nectar time release system. This matter because of the pH balance, extra conditioning, A1c attention to re balancing the hair after such a strong chemical. I've asked shops to get this specific one and to no avail. I tried empire but they only have the basic offering. This offering is the reason I don't know what strength to use because it's standard and I'm not overly sensitive but can be with each relaxer retouch. Well, this avoids all that. 5 stars for DE NECTAR RELEASE RELAXER 4.2 stars for the music is a good mix. Old and new pop with a hint of R&B 3.9 stars for the lobby and skittish reception and the cash only as of the last 6 weeks. 5 stars for finding a caring instructor that strikes the proper balance of professionalism and caring for clients + students. 4.5 stars for the stlying. I see decent work consistently. Why not the full 5? Pricing. 2.2 stars on pricing. Relaxers should provide for add-on or included styling. Roller sets are $12 extra. Just like if you only got a la carte. A wrap is included in a retouch and it takes forever for my hair to dry without a rod or roller in it. 2.7 hours later I had to go. Thermal add-ons are reasonable Cuts are $9 (pretty much the same everywhere). Manicures have simple stations. Pedicures have a basic station. No massaging chairs. Facials are offered here. Receive a discount or free service after the 5th or 6th visit. Winning~~ THE PLACE IS CLEAN, ORDERLY, & TRYING TO GET YOU TO A HAPPY PLACE. I THINK EVERY ONE CAN APPRECIATE EFFORT LIKE THIS.
