We're here from Southern California on a brief getaway. We wanted to bring our 2 babies to see some animals and be outdoors. We were not even here for an hour before we said let's go. (I know we are very spoiled with our San Diego zoo) but upon getting into the zoo we go to reptiles where there are dead mice in each encounter. We obviously know that snakes eat mice, but that should not be on display for kids to see. We quickly walked up to see the giraffes, which was cool to get up close, but looking at the enclosures it's literally land with fences up. They're all caged animals! (Duh, right) but I'm used to seeing animals in enclosures that are divided by landscapes, or hardscapes, but just fences?!? Not very inspiring. They also offer camel rides which we thought would be neat and when we got over there we could see 1 of 3 camels does rides and the 2 "off duty" camels are tied to a pole. They can either stand or sit. No walking, no freedom. This zoo was more reminiscing of a circus not a zoo. I would not go back.
