I came here for a working breakfast with my team at work. I've had this place bookmarked for years now. I don't venture to this side of town often so I was pretty excited.
The restaurant is very large but still intimate. The place is clean and the restrooms are lovely.
I didn't have any coffee but others claimed it that it wasn't very strong.
I ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. Very good. The eggs were properly cooked. I didn't care for the side of hash/potato at all. My meal was good but honestly, nothing wowed me. Others at my table ordered the french country breakfast and the seafood omelet with no complaints.
Overall, this restaurant wasn't too bad. Personally, I don't understand all of the hype. I would probably come back to try lunch but probably not breakfast. It could be a possibility that maybe my palette isn't refined enough to appreciate Cafe Monte but it is what it is.
