I ordered a caramel frappe and matcha milk tea 30 minutes ago and still haven't got my order. The thai tea was ready in about 10 minutes and tasted delicious. Paying $20 for 3 drinks and having to wait 30 plus minutes for them is a disgrace. After waiting for 30 minutes and watching an uber eats driver come in and pick up a bag of drinks, my kids decided they no longer wanted their drinks. I went to the counter to ask if they had even started making the last 2 drinks from my order. The kid behind the counter looked puzzled and asked what 2 drinks we were waiting for. I replied please just refund my money because my kids are tired and no longer want their drinks. He then proceeds to tell me it will only take 30 seconds to make them, I again reply that I'd just like a refund. He says "whatever" and goes to the money box (no cash register, just an iPad on a stand) and hands me $9 cash for a refund. I then state "my total was $20.22 and you're telling me $11 was the cost of my thai Boba tea?" He replies "I'm not refunding you for the drink you got." I laugh and say "I'm not asking you to refund the drink I got. I'm questioning why it was $11." He then asks me again what I ordered while appearing to look up my order on the iPad. He gives me back $12 and some change and instead of questioning again why my thai Boba tea would have cost $8, I just say thanks and leave.
I'm a reasonable person. If you make a mistake then apologize and offer to fix it, don't be rude and short change someone. Maybe if you didn't write your orders on post-it notes they wouldn't get lost so easily. I'll drive to chinatown for my next Boba tea, I'd probably get it faster than waiting here.
