While not overly impressed with what I had to eat I was impressed by the service and atmosphere. I detected horseradish in the salad dressing and she immediately took care of it. I hate horseradish and anything that even remotely resembles it. My Grandmother had me grind horseradish roots once and it was awful. My eyes watered and the stench was terrible. Every since then I have not been able to tolerate it.
I had the house salad with a portabello mushroom sandwich. I didn't think the sandwich had much flavor. We also ordered an appetizer sampler that included fried asparagus, bacon deviled eggs and some kind of egg roll. All of which I thought tasted good but I didn't have that "oh wow" thing going on either. It was a special deal for restaurant week. You got 2 of each item for $10.00. Some special huh?
I would definitely go back and try again and hopefully I can give them more stars. The service was really good.
