I very much wanted to like this place, as I like lox, whitefish, and bagels, but it falls short of greatness. Taking over an old pharmacy, when you walk in you're greeted by a 1950's vibe. Ordering at the counter I got the smoked whitefish on an everything bagel.
The smoked whitefish was delicious, with a strong smokey flavour, but the bagel was too bready for my taste. Perhaps I was expecting a Montreal or New York style bagel rather than the Toronto style, but the bagel was similar to many other bagel places.
Seating was cramped and not particularly comfortable.
