  • Definitely a fan of this place! Located on the corner of LV Blvd & Oakey, Viva Las Arepas is smack dab in the middle of what I'd consider a downtown hot spot, neighboring other local favorites - Vickie's (formerly Tiffany's) Diner, Art of Flavors, Dino's, Albo Pizza, Olympic Gardens, and that little shack that was once Goodwich. They have a decent-sized menu with plenty of affordable combo options. I usually order the 3 chicken breasts + rice + beans for $6.99, along with a can of Coke for another $1.25, which is a pretty sweet deal to me since I'm always leaving with leftovers I can enjoy the next day. Their arepas are pretty tasty too, of course! And you can stuff 'em with whatever meats, cheeses, etc., you desire. I especially love the layout of the restaurant. It's always very clean and cool indoors, and the patio area is great.
