Most of the folks here are great, my wife had an arm injury we went here Saturday 6/2 to get xray's done to see if there was a break. Sure enough, there was. They put a hard splint (guy who did it was amazing) the Dr Andrea told us they refer us to someone, we specifically requested to ensure whomever they refer us to accepts Cigna, our insurance. They exact response I was given was 'of course, we wouldn't refer you to anyone else'. We got the referral and was told to call first thing Monday to get an appt you have a fracture that needs to be addressed. Monday we call nothing available til Wednesday. We asked for additional referrals from Dignity and were given several no one could see us any earlier. Fast forward to our appt today 6/6. We show up and they tell us they can't see us unless we pay upfront, they don't take Cigna..what? Really after we were ensured the referral we were given did. So we callback Dignity I talk to Melinda who really couldn't help then she put me on with the charge nurse who didn't ever identify herself and acted like she wasn't aware of the situation (which i knew she was as Melinda was talking to her while I was still on the line. I was told that they were only responsible to give us a referral, it's our fault that we didn't check with the referral to ensure they take Cigna. We specifically asked when they set up the referral to ensure they take Cigna. The doctor who diagnosed was on call. The charge nurse said it wasn't their responsibility of which I get, but how about the common courtesy of telling us we need to confirm the referral takes Cigna when that's specifically what we asked for. There are plenty of choices here, Dignity anything will not be one of mine in the future. No my wife sits with a broken arm and we can't get into see anyone else til Friday.
