Went to Olive Garden today to have lunch with my husband. When we walked in to the restaurant the waiting area was empty. We were greeted at the desk and told it's about a 20 minute wait. Surprised since we didn't see anyone we ask why. We were told they had just seated everyone but there was a booth in the bar area if we wanted it. We said whatever is first. After a few minutes we were seated at a table in the bar area. We were given menus and that's it for the next 20 minutes. We saw a waitress going to other tables but not once looking at or acknowledging us. Perturbed at this point I went to the front desk and asked who are waitress was. I was informed that there is only one waitress for that area and that three other people were ahead of us.
I said that was not satisfactory - and informed them we were leaving. We always go to Olive Garden for dinner but never for lunch. Obviously they don't hire enough staff to keep up with the lunch crowds. Sadly because the food is great. Heads up people!!! Your not going to get a quick lunch here. Be prepared to sit for an hour or more.
