Okay came here for a birthday dinner and ohemgee it was sooo packed...that place was literally poppin. We asked for a table for 6 and they told us it was an hour and a half wait (actually ended up being 1 and 15 min) but we decided to stay coz it was worth the wait!
They have a garden patio waiting area whichbwas very pretty and lush green on a nice spring night! If I wasn't starving that wait wouldn't have been bad with company... And there's always the bar while you are waiting (21+ only tho ) got me a pina colada! Yummmyyy tasted coconuty and creamy.
We got the apetizer trio to share but substituted calamari for the salmon. The other two were the fried alligator and shrimp/crawfish fondeux. Fried alligator was interesting but good...didn't like the sauce coz it was too salty. The fondeux was good but I still prefer peeling my own crawfish than it already mixed in a sauce(its part of the fun). And the calamari was breaded and crispy yummy!
I decided to order crispy atlantic salmon with maine lobster. The waitress told me that the lobster was only abiut 2 ounces (I guess I don't know what that estimate is because when my plate came out and I saw three tiny pieces of lobster) still considering... My plate was delicious even if was the most expensive plate on the table for 33 bucks and also the smallest portion. The salmon was a good size and yummy, also came with crispy shrimp that was seasoned very well and the tiny pieces of lobster with the side of roasted acorn squash (never had this before and it is freaking delicious and buttery). Everything was delicious and worth the wait!
We got a free dessert and another one for the table to share: brownie and key lime pie...eh... But they sure were pretty!
Our server was great! Her name was Lena :) love the ambience and I think there was live music earlier but i didn't know where it was coming from. It was a great time! Can't wait to go back here!!
