  • Oh gosh, where do I even begin with this review!? Durant's is a TRUE Phoenix classic. I have been coming here since I was a little girl, as it was my grandpa's FAVORITE place to celebrate his birthday. Sadly, I had not been in 19+ years!!! I told my fiance that this is where we must celebrate our anniversary dinner in honor of my grandpa. As soon as you sit down, they bring you ice-cold veggies and their delicious ranch for dipping in addition to THEIR BREAD, holy heaven. It is drenched in butter, shallots, and just pure goodness. Then, you must order one of their famous martinis to start. I'm a cosmo girl! For an appetizer, their JUMBO shrimp cocktail really can't be beat. All entrees are served with a cold salad or soup. I ordered the Chicken Piccata (my first time ever not ordering a steak here!) and my fiance ordered the Trout and said it was AHHHHmazing. ;) They're really known for their amazing steaks so if you're craving red meat, this is your place. We ended the night with a Choco-tini instead of a heavy dessert because we were so full! The service is always top notch and we can't wait to celebrate another special occasion here in the future (sooner than 19 years from now!). 5 stars all around!
