Deserves a zero star rating. I have gone to Kennel Care for 16 years. I lost count of the pets that they have seen of mine. I have lost count of the people I referred to them. I will never step foot in this clinic again. The care they gave my dog is unthinkable and they should be ashamed.
i adopted two dogs from Serbia that I rescued from the side of the freeway May 16. After paying all of their vet bill in Serbia, their air transportation, they arrived July 22. Mother and puppy (3 month old). The next day I took both dogs into KC and Dr. Hudman said they were fine just underweight. No tests were performed at this time. I reported two days later that Norman, the puppy, was sneezing and eyes watering. Hudman said just a something from the flights. I worried about Norman so took him in on Thursday, 6 days after arriving. They had me leave Norman at 9 am. I called at 11:30 AM and was told no one had seen him. I was not told this was just a drop off appointment. I spoke with Dr Hudman later and he told me to come in at 5:30...it was evident to me that Norman had clearly not been worked up until I arrived so this already traumatized puppy sat in a cage for a long day. I was told he had parasites and a few other things. That was the last KC saw Norman. He was at the emergency clinic 3 times. I called KC the following Monday and Dr. Lind, who had never seen Norman, called me saying she felt this could be rabies. I called to clarify a few days later about the rabies because this is a serious diagnosis. The office manager called back, not a physician saying this was a strong possibility. I asked if I could bring Norman in and was told "no". Ultimately Norman died.....I found a new wonderful veterinarian who was his champion at the very end. Norman did not have rabies but distemper. If your vet will not be there for you through the rough times with a sick dog then what is the point? Tests should have been ran on day one. Norman survived on the side of the freeway for his first few weeks of his life, in a Serbian veterinary cage for a month and at a Serbian rescue with 300 dogs for a month. Norman survived AZ 13 days. Unforgivable!!!
