  • NEW YORK THE BARBER IS A THIEF. If I could give zero stars I would. The barber who goes by the name "New York" (I think his real name is John) is absolutely horrible. $25 for a cut. $25 for a shave. Okay. The cut was fine... EXCEPTED HE DIDNT FINISH IT. This is what happened, he started the cut and jumped into the shave, not finishing the cut. The shave turned out to be incredibly painful. I asked for a lubricant of some kind. The shave was dry. He wouldn't provide it. I had to stop halfway through. NEW YORK/John claimed the pain was because of my ingrown hairs that were apparently all over my face. I don't have ingrown hairs on my face. Oh yeah, and this is after New York spun me around more than necessary in the chair like I was on a carnival ride. He said it was to "reverse my polarity". I gave the fifty and went to there restroom to wash my face. Then I looked in the mirror. THE HAIRCUT WASN'T FINISHED! I stepped out of the bathroom and told New York I needed my haircut finished. He wouldn't do it. He had already sat the next client in my seat. There were other seats available. I got upset that he wouldn't finish my cut. ESPECIALLY since I'd already paid for it. New York asked me if I wanted to step outside. My eyes got big, then I smiled and we both walked outside. There was no fight. I didn't want one and New York sure as hell didn't want one characterized by his talking about his wife and kids and his holding up of two pocket sized bibles. (THIS IS ALL TRUE) New York wouldn't give me his name when I asked. I thought that was the weakest and I told him so, not politely either. I just wanted my haircut finished or some of my money back. The name of this place is Fresh Cuts Barber Shop. I wouldn't frequent them. NEW YORK THE BARBER IS A THIEF.
