| - Horrible customer service. We wanted to purchase a watch to replace the one that we recently lost. The salesman who served us barely served us. His entire attitude and body language were screaming "you don't know about watches and you can't afford one." When my dad took out a photo of the watch he lost to compare with a similar one they had in store, the salesman commented (totally unsolicited, no one asked him nor did we show him the picture in the phone, he just peaked at the the phone screen and felt that he had the right to comment), "That is OLD OLD OLD, it no longer exists." I told him I know that that watch is no longer in production, we just wanted one that looks similar and/or have similar features. He didn't even wait for me to finish my sentence; he interrupted me and reiterated again and again, "nope, doesn't exist, it's gone, gone forever." Actually, no, Omega recommended a currently existing model that is very similar to the one we lost. So yes, while the exact same one is no longer available, there IS a SIMILAR one available, which was what we were looking for. At this point I was fuming. We walked out of the store after 10 minutes and brought our business elsewhere.
The salesman's attitude amazed me. I've not encountered such horrid customer service in Canada in at least a decade. This is not the only retailer authorized to sell Omega in Calgary. Calgary Jewellery is also an authorized retailer. And it offers free parking. AND its customer service is ten times better. Actually, maybe twenty times better.
So if you have a choice, I recommend avoiding this store and bringing your business elsewhere.
