Basic food (had a salad, it was fine), middling drink choices -- par for the course for a pub, so fine.
But, and I know to some this is nitpicking, but really? Plastic silverware. I'm a business traveler, so, does downtown Charlotte fear the power of people with metal butter knives? Or is it policy to do everything within their power to put more plastic into the environment? It was a perfectly fine pub experience until I got the silverware, and then it felt like I was on an airplane.
It sets a tone...that's all I'm saying.
Otherwise, food & service were fine. Neither outstanding nor abysmal...what you expect from a pub.
