| - Prices vary by store (huge selection), customer service pretty decent, and all-in-all pretty good value across the different stores.
I last visited Yorkdale Mall last black Friday, and it was my first visit there with a baby. M'lady and I were impressed with the family area filled with couches, a microwave, paper towels, and two washrooms. This made it very comfortable for my wife to take care of our child's needs. The diaper vending machine in the family area was out order, which didn't affect us, but I see it being an inconvenience to go hunting for diapers with a crying baby.
All of the men's washrooms that I visited in the mall wreaked of urine, including the one I visited at least twice to change my son in.
The stores varied in quality, however one thing that made me extra happy was when I was quite thirsty, and despite m'lady telling me that there'd be no way I'd find a drink within the mall for a reasonable price, I managed to find an online coupon for one of the venues in the food court for a free drink (with no purchase necessary, no less) :-D
I've never had an issue finding a decent parking spot at this mall (even during the crazy rush that was when we arrived), so Yorkdale definitely gets points for that.
Their app seemed a tad off, as there were stored on its map that I was unable to locate. For the ones that were correctly listed there though (as well as the washrooms), I found the app extremely useful.
Also I liked the fact that the mall ended up being open until 11 P.M. for Black Friday, yet most people left at around 9 P.M., so the last few hours were rather calm.
So all-in-all, based on my experience, I'd definitely return to this mall, despite smelly washrooms and issues vending machines.
